New hairdo

As promised: Zia's new haircut (by me).  I had taken her to the salon for the first time ever last month, but I hadn't liked the haircut they had given her. It was very mullet-ish.  Appropriate for West Allis I guess.  Anyways, I forgot to take a picture of her today until after her bath.  Now she's truly a little Mini Me.

Out like a lamb?

You wanna see my giraffe?

Chubby baby, but just wait!

It's been a bad week for my family, but here I will just celebrate the good things.  Not sure that turning 30 is one of the good things, but it is better than the alternative.

Happy Easter

We got 17 inches of snow on Good Friday, right when things had almost melted off. Zia and the rest of us are ready for real Spring.

My parents are here.  They brought the big green rocking chair, so  Lincoln is very happy.

Back to Work

I went back to work this week. It's harder on Andy than me. I just have the guilt, he actually is the one doing most of the work. Lincoln was trying to stay vigilant today - he only napped about 2 hours since 5 AM, and those were coerced by the swing.

He's quickly outgrowing his clothes, I'm trying to take pictures in some of them before it's too late - I can't even button these jeans around his belly anymore!  I know the feeling little Linc.

Zia wanted to give him a bath tonight but I was too lazy to fill up the baby tub.

The prettiest girl in the world and her tired little lumberjack.

Playdate-o-rama

I've been trying to get Zia some playdates before I go back to work.  Above she is posing for a potrait by Hayden.  After he was done, she 'fixed' it by adding more curls.

Zia, Maddie and Riley.
Look, Alli, no princess dress.  It was on earlier in the afternoon, though.

Dad coaxes a smile out of Linc.

This is what that looks like.  So cute!

Lazy Sunday

Linc and me  in one of our favorite positions.  It definitely beats work.

Zia and Andy made a Duplo box that we couldn't resist putting Linc in.  After all, we put his sister in a pumpkin before she was a week old.  Linc never would have fit in a pumpkin...

Unicorns are so silly!!!

I tried to post this about 6 times since yesterday, hence the title, but the site has been uncooperative.  I hope you all enjoy it.

American Gladiators

Linc has been practicing his boxing.  He'll be ready to compete in featherweight in about another 3 weeks.

Zia, who has been into the princess thing the last few weeks convinced her Dad to make a "couch explosion" and give her flying lessons for the afternoon.  Princesses fly, right?

And here is a comparison photo of the two at approximately the same age (about 4 weeks).  Linc's skin looks a little washed-out due to the flash.

Z Reads, Linc Smiles

Zia is reading reasonably well, but she needs motivation which we are providing in the form of Skittles and a reward chart.  It worked for potty training...

Lincoln keeps giving great smiles.  He also has been having some more fussy spells.  We blame the fussiness on gas and give him credit for the smiles.

Auntie Alli!

Aunt Alli is here, performing cuddling duties, obeying Zia's every command (there are a lot of those), and acting as resident paparazzi.  She got some great pictures of Linc's smiles.  He was giving them to everyone today in between yelling spells.

Smile for Daddy!

So, I only get these cute, sleepy, half-smiles when his tummy is full.  Andy, however, has been getting these open-mouth silent laughs on a regular basis.  I think it may be evolutionary - you have to win over your Dad quickly so he doesn't throw you out of the cave.
