Decode it!

I'll send a prize (an autographed headshot ?) to the first person who can decode Zia's writing.  This is the first time she sounded out what she wanted to say and wrote it down herself.

Let the games begin!

Photo Shoot

Linc was being so cute this afternoon. Here's his photo shoot. I love when babies start bringing their hands together.

That's him almost falling off the couch at the end.

Linc already loves video games.  He's a little TV zombie.  If it's on he'll even forget that he's hungry!

The Last Supper (Spaghetti Dinner anyways)

Zia's school has a yearly fundraiser at which all the families pay extraordinary amounts of money for slimy spaghetti and soggy salad while being barraged by announcements on an ultra-loud PA system.  As this year's theme was 'Under the Sea', Zia had to go as, of course, a purple octopus.  I take great pride in the fact that I made this costume in less than two hours and only one trip to the fabric store.

On a positive note, Zia won 5 of the shoebox raffle items through a combined approach of accordion folds and stuffing the emptiest boxes at the end.  She also won a book draw at the library and a bookmark contest this week.  Too bad she can't gamble.  Now if only we could get an offer on the house...

Les Montages

We can finally be outside this week, yay!

Linc gets ready for a safari.

The princess digs a (really deep) hole.

Long week

So, the blogging has fallen by the wayside. It doesn't mean that the kids are any less cute. Linc especially has been doing something new every day. I have just been really busy trying to figure all the business stuff out. Last week was also mock boards (which dermatology residents study for, even though they don't really matter) - the real ones are in August. We're trying to sell the house too. 5 showings, no offers. I've never lived in such a clean place for so long.

He already has that, "I want to get that" look.

This monstrosity of a crown was the only one left at the Disney store.  You'd think with the princess craze, they would stock more... She has broken all of her other ones, so she made her own.

Linc looking super hip in his newly gifted REI vest.  Size 12 months: fits perfectly.

Little Big Man

So at his 2 month (9 weeks exactly) appointment the "little" guy weighed in at 15.5 pounds, which is 99th percentile and approximately the weight Zia was when she was 5 months.  He is outgrowing his 3-6 month clothes and moving straight to 6-12.  He's long too - 90th percentile!

Spring has Sprung

The nice weather finally came to us this weekend, although it looks like it's going to be cold and dreary the rest of the week. Linc hasn't managed to open his eyes outside yet. I guess he's a mole baby. That's the last of the snow melting, I think today our yard is finally snow-free.

We did our first letterbox of the Spring this weekend. The clue-finding part of the search led us to this amazing Frank Lloyd Wright Greek Orthodox church which looks an awful lot like a UFO.

On this adventure Linc managed to poop-destroy his outfit beyond salvage, riding the rest of the way home and through the McDonald's drive through swaddled in his blanket.

Here he is in a happier mood. He's getting weighed and measured and immunized at his 2 month appointment tomorrow, so I'll update you on that soon. I'm sure he weighs more than half as much as Zia already!

Big and Little

These type of shirts may actually serve a purpose when Linc is bigger than Zia here in a couple of months.
Baby says "Ah-goo" along with other very cute baby noises.  What a baby!
